Moslehi-Sicard Artist StudioVitry-Sur-Seine

Old industrial building from the beginning of the nineteenth century situated in Vitry in the suburbs of Paris transformed in an artist studio, office and occasional living space.
The old structure and glass roof have been completely dismantled and renovated.
The intervention was done in a very retained way to not interfere, but preserve the coherence of the existing building.
Despite a heavy structural intervention the spatial qualities and availability of the space have been preserved.
The materials used are simple: steel, grating, concrete, and glass.

Stokvis StudioParis

The project consisted in restoring the original function of this former studio located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, previously transformed into a housing unit.

The removal of separations, the redistribution of spaces and the introduction of new elements (storage area, sliding walls) have simplified the space and given it a more neutral structure, available for the artist's work.
The space is modular and, beyond its primary function, can be used as an exhibition space for the art works.
Much of the material has been preserved. By a minimal intervention (painting, sanding) their presence was reduced to unify with the whole.

This project was a very close collaboration with the artist to ensure that the place and the work communicate with and support each other.

Orthodontic Clinic Dr HerrligkofferBerlin

Located within an office building of the 1990s at Berlin-Mitte, the clinic occupies a surface area of 420m² and is composed of 6 operation units.
The whole surface has been completely remodelled. The furniture and structural elements have been specially conceived for the location.
Materials used consist of: Corian, rubber, lacquered wood, glass and steel.
Metallic panels with morphological laser cut-outs act as a screen between the interior and the exterior. This panels with the oversized numbers printed on the individual doors lining the corridor and the choice of colours give a strong graphic nuance to the space.
The reception area is well proportioned and has a multiple purpose: in addition to its proper function, it helps to separate the different spaces from each other (reception, office, and waiting room).

This project was realized in collaboration with Stéphanie von Kutschenbach-Mackert.

Offices for NORMAAL StudioParis 14th

The office of the Normaal cartoon film company is located in an old industrial building, comprising the ground and basement floors, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.
Fifty working desks are arranged in an open area, plus three additional separate offices and a meeting room, which were created within the 290 m². The separation of the main room is made up of ’cube-desks’ constructed in bamboo or enamelled MDF.
Suspended panels of electric lights, made out of aluminium and fabric, divide the ceiling.
Each element of furniture was especially designed for the space.
The connection between the basement and ground floor is brought forward by a polished steel element that traverses the floors and allows the light coming from the glass roof to reflect into the basement.
